Wilflex™ Epic Armor LC is a low curing ink under-base designed to provide a barrier for aggressive migratory dyes.
Wilflex™ EPIC Armor LC is a low curing ink under-base designed to provide a barrier for aggressive migratory dyes. The lower curing temperature reduces the risk of dye migration during and after cure, helping to maximize bleed resistance and minimize the chance for fabric distortion. They also provide optimized viscosity for easier modulation in bucket, better flow on the press, and a smoother base layer on polyester garments.

Choosing the right ink for your substrate requires an understanding of the fiber content, temperature capabilities and design considerations. Many synthetic blends and fibers on the market today require new application and processing techniques. Our new EPIC White LC series is targeted to address one of the major challenges in the growing polyester and synthetic printing market: Minimize cure temperature to maximize bleed resistance.
Selecting Wilflex bleed blockers is another way to battle the bleed. These products are used as an under base to create an effective barrier against dye migration. Appropriate mesh counts and emulsion thickness will also contribute to the effectiveness of fighting the bleed. Lastly, monitor your ovens and flash cure units to ensure you are achieving cure temperature. Avoid excessive heat and minimize temperature spikes for best results.

When it comes to white inks, there is no “magic in a bucket.” Different applications or fabrics will require different whites, which is why Wilflex™ offers a wide variety of white ink products to ensure you can always find the right ink to fill your needs.
Select the Right White for you!
- When you look for a white ink to fulfill your needs, it is a good practice to ask specific questions to help determine which white is RIGHT!
- What region of the world do you live? Not all Wilflex white products are available everywhere. You need to make sure that you are selecting from a pool of deliverable products.
- What type of chemistry do you require? Do you need Phthalate Free? …or Water-base?
- What type of substrate are you printing on? Is it exclusively Cotton? … or Cotton Blends? … or perhaps you need a Super Low bleed for 100% polyester?
- What type of art will you be printing? Will you be printing large area Vector (logo work)?... or Raster Simulated Process (halftone work)?
- Finally, is there any other special characteristic that you require in the ink? You may need Low-Cure, puff, non-ghosting or stretch properties.
Cotton Whites
Cotton whites are designed to print on 100% cotton only, typically lower cost because they are devoid of any extra components such as Bleed resistant additives.
